Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, also known as Bonnaroo, is one of the largest music festivals in the United States. The name ”Bonnaroo” comes from the Creole slang, meaning ”a really good time”. The founders chose the name Bonnaroo to honor the rich New Orleans music tradition that they had enjoyed in college.
This four-day festival is held anually in Manchester, namely in the wonderful Great Stage Park (matching name huh). What is remarkable about this festival is that there are more than 10(!) stages and as many as four campgrounds. Every year, more than 150 artists perform at this festival. There is no typical music genre for this festival, as there is a very wide range of different genres. This makes Bonnaroo a fun and accessible experience for everyone!
